Job Overview

We are seeking an Energy Finance Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of energy economics and finance, with a focus on liquefied natural gas (LNG) and alternative energy sources.

The ideal candidate will have experience in research, analysis, and publishing reports on energy finance issues. They will also be skilled in financial analysis, modelling, and market analysis in Excel, as well as having excellent communication and presentation skills.

The role involves:

  • Researching and analysing energy finance issues in South Korea, including the current fuel-energy mix and proposals for transition to alternative energies.
  • Assessing and analysing South Korea's financial support for energy sectors and transitions in other Asian countries.
  • Building industry, government, regulator, and finance contacts to understand different perspectives.
  • Representing the organization at meetings and industry events.

Key Responsibilities

Our Energy Finance Analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of energy markets, identifying trends and opportunities, and developing strategic recommendations for clients.

They will also work closely with colleagues to develop marketing materials, business plans, and pitches to secure new business.

The successful candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in finance, economics, accounting, or engineering, or relevant professional certifications.
  • Five or more years' relevant experience in finance, market analysis, and/or energy or related fields.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with the LNG sector.

Benefits

This is a full-time position on a 12-month fixed term employment contract, with the option of extension by mutual agreement.
