Business Analyst Opportunities – Data & Pega Specialisations
Federal Government | NSW | Hybrid | Long-term Contracts
Role 1 :Technical Business Analyst – Data Focus
Max Daily Rate :$800 + Super
Overview :
Join a key government program focused on modernising enterprise data platforms and governance architecture.
You will collaborate with data engineers, testers, and other analysts to gather and translate complex data requirements, manage release transitions, and support ongoing operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities :
Translate data integration requirements into technical specifications
Collaborate with QA teams on testing and data integrity
Manage operational transition from project to BAU
Facilitate stakeholder communication between business and technical teams
Support release management, including incident and change processes
Essential Skills & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration or related field
5+ years technical BA or data analyst experience
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, Databricks) and large-scale data migrations
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Baseline security clearance mandatory
Role 2 :Senior Business Analyst – Pega Focus
Max Daily Rate :$950 inclusive of Super
Overview :
Work with a government department to deliver enterprise business solutions on Pega Platform and Cloud Pega Platform.
This senior role involves defining business workflows, facilitating stakeholder workshops, mentoring junior BAs, and supporting agile delivery of Pega applications.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct workshops to define business needs and document workflows
Facilitate design walkthroughs and specification reviews
Prioritise and triage system defects and issues
Mentor and coach BA team members on Pega methodologies
Lead stakeholder engagement bridging business needs and technical delivery
Support operations and governance of Pega applications
Essential Skills & Experience :
Pega Business Architect certification
3+ years experience as Senior / Lead Pega BA on Pega or Cloud Pega platforms
Experience with agile delivery methods and business process management
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Baseline security clearance mandatory; NV1 preferred
General Requirements for Both Roles
Australian Citizenship required
Ability to obtain Baseline security clearance is mandatory
Hybrid work arrangements based in NSW (initial onsite periods may apply)
