We are excited to announce two open positions on the Mount Gravatt Community Centre Board, and we invite you to consider becoming a vital part of our organisation.

**About Mount Gravatt Community Centre**:
Our organisation provides a range of essential services to the community, including but not limited to:

- Aged care in-_home_ services
- Neighbourhood Centre activities and programs
- Emergency Relief, including food parcels and financial support
- Employment and training programs
- Social Isolation and Loneliness

We are looking for board members who can demonstrate skills and experience in these areas and possess a strong understanding of the quality and compliance requirements. Business, Community and Government experience is highly valued.

**Objective: To support the overall objectives of the board**.

**Responsibilities**:

- Resume type document with experience and skills
- Participate in board meetings held every two months on a Tuesday evening
- Attend Staff Annual Conference - full day (Saturday late in the year)
- Attend the Annual General Meeting in November
- Provide feedback on board documentation
- Potentially engage in working groups, such as the Governance Committee
- Review and contribute to policies and procedures for the board
- National Police Check required
- Must never been disqualified _from_ managing cooperations
- Insolvency Check will be undertaken as required by the Aged Care Commission
