The Stores Inventory Control is responsible for providing general warehouse and logistics services in line with Supply Chain Process, and is accountable for delivering their work on time, in full and to standard The Stores Inventory Control is a general labour position with a high level of physical movement and manual handling of tools, materials and equipment (goods).
What's involvedMonitor and optimise inventory through stock level analysis, periodic reviews, cyclic stocktakes, and support for supply chain reporting activities.Ensure a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible warehouse operation with accurate inventory control and continuous improvement through incident reporting and corrective actions.Operate and maintain forklifts and equipment to safely move materials on-site, ensuring all tasks comply with manual handling and safety procedures.Manage stock-related processes including maintenance and calibration schedules, providing fortnightly stock place reports to the Logistics Manager.You'll need2+ years relevant Warehousing and Logistics experience, ideally within a Marine Support, Engineering, Manufacturing or Defence industryWorking experience in a computerised ERP environmentCertificate III in Warehousing, Logistics or Supply ChainPronto or IFS experienceBasic Microsoft Excellent and Microsoft Word skillsWhy AustalCompetitive compensation and benefits package.Professional development and training opportunities.A supportive and dynamic work environment.Opportunities for career advancement within our growing organisation.Our global team is guided by a universal set of values that describe thefocus of our efforts.
