**About the Role**
- A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled Execution Team Leader to join the Santos team. Based at our Global Headquarters in Adelaide, this position reports to the Maintenance Manager EA MHF (Major Hazard Facilities) and leads a team of field-based Execution Supervisors, Specialists, and QA/QC Welding Supervisors.

Given the unique challenges of the sector, particularly around environmental and community concerns, the Execution Team Leader must be highly skilled, knowledgeable, and adaptive to ensure the successful execution of projects. The position requires a high level of problem solving to address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process, ensuring mínimal delays and cost overruns.

Key accountabilities include:

- Project Planning: working with the Maintenance Manager, provide specialist input into the development of contractor management, execution plans, including timelines, budgeting, and resource allocation, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Safety Leadership: Ensure all shutdown and construction activities comply with the QLD/SA safety regulations, industry standards, and Santos safety policies. This includes conducting regular safety audits, training, and ensuring the use of appropriate protective equipment. Actively participate and promote healthy team culture.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all shutdown and construction activities adhere to the QLD/SA regulatory framework including Welding standards, QAQC, environmental regulations, land access rules, and other relevant permissions.
- Team Management: Oversee and lead the execution teams, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and ensuring efficient task delegation.
- Budget Management: Monitor project and shutdown expenses (Capex) to ensure they remain within the allocated budget and take corrective actions if any financial discrepancies arise.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of site-execution contact for all project stakeholders, including production operations, land access, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Quality Assurance: oversee quality control processes to ensure that all construction activities meet or exceed industry standards.
- Contract Management: manage contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other partners. Ensure all contract terms are met and work to resolve any disputes at site level.
- Issue variation requests to contractors as required.
- Approve contractor's construction completion documentation (e.g., FICs, MDRs) where required.
- Approve construction and shutdown completion certificates
- Approve the Ready for Start-Up (RFSU) process.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and proactively develop strategies to mitigate construction and shutdown schedule delays. Promptly report or escalate all safety, environmental, cultural heritage and land access matters, incidents or near misses in accordance with escalation procedure.
