**What You Will Do**
At Woolworths, the Safety of our customers and team is critical. Our Safety team is responsible for working with operational leaders to provide and maintain a safe working and shopping environment for our team members, customers, visitors, and contractors.
You will Manage an integrated safety management system across WooliesX and work with other Woolworths businesses and collaborate extensively with external parties to achieve the simplification and standardisation vision. You will operate within the safety management system framework, ensuring clarity of scope and rapid execution to determine business and commercial values.
The scope of the role includes products, technology, people and processes within the Woolworths Group.
**A Typical Day May Include**
- Manage and drive the strategic approach for an integrated safety management system, its policies, procedures, processes, standards and tools. Ensuring any new approaches/best practices are reviewed and/or adapted to manage it throughout its life to deliver ongoing benefits to the ecosystem
- Support and shape our safety learning strategy
- Define, develop and maintain strategies and programs which ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations
- Lead and influence the internal/ external audit program to maintain world-class safety management systems outcomes for the ecosyste
- Fostering an environment where Safety is considered in all operational processes & initiatives
- Support WooliesX operational leaders to integrate practical and effective safety initiatives to promote safe workplace behaviour.
- Provide advice and guidance to minimise risk & achieve compliance for our WooliesX teams
- Investigate severity 1 and 2 incidents in line with the National Framework
- Actively partake in Woolworths assurance programs
**Who You Are**
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role working with enterprise management operating systems with accountability for influencing at the senior level You are an OH&S professional with a passion for systems.
- 7+ years of operational OH&S experience within a large complex organisation
- Experience with developing and executing transformation change management projects within a fast pace environment
- Your enthusiasm to support WooliesX to ensure process compliance and delivery of safety outcomes will ensure your success. Your clear and effective communication will assist in developing strong stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to deal with complex problems with high ambiguity where solutions are not defined
- Exceptional presentation skills (written and verbal) with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Thought leader and have the ability to build capability and inspire through lived experiences
- Ability to drive change and embrace agile practices
