**Daimler Trucks Milperra** (part of the Velocity Truck Centres) is a leading Daimler franchise truck dealership located in the southwestern area of Sydney. We offer new trucks for sale from Fuso, Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner, and the complete range of trucks available in Australia. As a full-service dealership, we assist with all truck needs, including truck parts, repairs and servicing for all makes of trucks.
**About the Role**

The National Safety Lead will be responsible for building and overseeing the company's safety program. This will include working with stakeholders to developing appropriate safety policies, controls and forums, and most importantly, improving safety compliance and outcomes across the Velocity Network.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Implement effective and robust WHS risk, audit, and assurance programs
- Identify and control WHS risk across the organisation
- Lodge and manage workers compensation claims
- Manage and oversee the worker's compensation portfolio nationally
- Monitor WHS effectiveness and report on organisational WHS performance
- Design and implement effective WHS improvement plans
- Lead effective hazard identification and risk assessments
- Undertake pre and post incident investigations
- Mentor and coach team members to positively impact Velocity's safety culture
- Travel interstate including overnight stays
**About you**
To ensure success you will possess the following**:
**Skills & Qualifications**
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety
- Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety would be advantageous
- NSW workers compensation knowledge and understanding
- Demonstrated experience of at least 2 years in a Workplace Health & Safety position
- Working in safety within similar industries and environments (i.e., multi-site and geographically dispersed, blue collar, heavy industries)
- Return to work accreditation
- Drivers' license and own vehicle
- A passion drive and positively impact safety
