They are shifting to a new operating model and reshaping their shared services capability.
As part of this change, they are building their Employee Support team.
This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to step into a pivotal advisory position during a time of real organisational growth and change.Please note this is a 6-month fixed term contract role with the potential to go permanent.About the RoleYou will be a senior HR practitioner within the Employee Support team.
You will act as a trusted coach, case manager and strategic sounding board for leaders across a highly complex, unionised and regulated environment.You will take the lead on high-risk and sensitive employee relations cases, provide leadership coaching and help shape how HR supports a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce.You will work across a national workforce including air traffic control, aviation rescue firefighting, and corporate services.
Your remit will involve triaging, guiding and resolving high-level people matters while strengthening the ability of line leaders to manage performance, conduct, grievance and absence issues effectively.You will:Coach and advise operational and corporate leaders on proactive people managementManage complex HR matters including grievances, investigations and misconductAct as the escalation point for complex HR queries across the employee lifecycleReview and analyse workforce data to identify trends and recommend solutionsPromote and embed frameworks around talent, diversity and organisational changeBuild strong relationships with line managers and uplift leadership capabilityContribute to a culture of continuous improvement as HR transforms its service modelAbout YouYou will bring:Strong HR advisory and case management experience within large, complex or unionised environmentsSolid knowledge of enterprise agreements, employment legislation and public sector HR frameworksA demonstrated ability to coach and influence senior line leaders through complex scenariosExcellent communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skillsExperience gained in large-scale organisations such as transport, aviation, infrastructure, health, mining or utilitiesRelevant tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or related fields (desirable)The BenefitsMake a real impact in a purpose-driven organisation where no two days are the sameBe part of a transformation project focused on improving HR service deliveryGain national exposure across frontline and corporate functionsJoin a collaborative and experienced HR team with deep organisational knowledgeEnjoy flexible working arrangements with 3 days in office and parking on siteWork with a supportive and progressive leader who values your input and developmentPlease note this is a 6-month fixed term contract role with the potential to go permanent.Please apply with your current resume in Microsoft Word format only (.doc or .docx).
