Overview
Lead Staff Solution Delivery Architect at GE Vernova. Delivery Architect for GE Vernova Digital Grid responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the technical architecture for software implementation services bids and projects. Ensure the proposed solution is best in class and meets customer functional and non-functional requirements, project budget and timescale.
Responsibilities
Solution Delivery Leadership: Lead technical teams in the implementation and delivery of projects, ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality standards; coordinate with the Services function (Delivery Manager and Project Manager) to interact with customers and define, produce and maintain optimal solution design based on scope, customer requirements and solution capabilities.
End to End Design Leadership (Pre-sales + Delivery): Facilitate requirements and design workshops; own the design deliverables (Statement of Work, Architecture documents); ensure traceability of requirements with solutions proposed; create and review architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation guides; communicate design to customers and key project stakeholders; manage involvement of other SMEs (e.g., business analysts, IT/cybersecurity experts) to ensure design contributions meet requirements.
Drive Excellence: Drive excellence in execution through continuous improvement in the domain (best practices and reference material such as reference architectures and reference solutions); collaborate with sales and presales to conduct needs assessments, develop technical proposals, and support creating Statements of Work (SoW); coordinate knowledge capitalization across the Services & Delivery team; build technical expertise and deliver technical consultancy on demand; develop standard policies, procedures, and templates.
Collaborate with Product Managers & Engineering: Return on Experience, product enhancements, and reference architectures.
Required Skills
At least 5 years of deep technical design-focused expertise and hands-on experience with development and architecture in Industrial solutions & Electrification Software in Utilities (e.g., SCADA, ADMS, EMS, CERMS/DERMS, Grid and Market Management Systems).
Bachelor's degree in engineering with a focus on Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.
Familiarity with design principles, coding, scripting, OS (Linux), source code management, virtualization, cloud architecture (AWS and/or Azure), and microservices.
Experience with cloud technologies and cloud-native technologies such as containers and Kubernetes; strong understanding of cloud architectures.
Strong knowledge of architectural structures, scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, including multi-site deployments.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; demonstrated ability to lead large projects and architect complex solutions.
Awareness of presales activities including SoW creation and services estimation; proficient in creating comprehensive documentation.
Excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills with the ability to engage effectively with C-Level executives and key stakeholders.
Proactive and customer-facing attitude with a focus on understanding and meeting customer needs.
Exposure to iterative product development and program management techniques including Agile, SAFe, Scrum, and DevOps.
