Key to ensuring nuclear power plant efficiency and safety is this critical position. The Nuclear Operations Engineer plays a vital part in overseeing reactor systems, implementing protocols, analyzing data, and optimizing operational processes.
Reactor system operation monitoring and safety maintenance for efficient performance.
Performance analysis of reactors with recommendation for optimization.
Implementation of regulatory compliant operational procedures development.
Radiation level monitoring and adherence to safety standards.
Troubleshooting reactor system technical issues and proposing solutions.
Maintenance team coordination for inspection and repair scheduling.
Nuclear safety training and emergency protocol instruction to plant personnel.
Risk assessment and mitigation strategy implementation.
Nuclear industry advancements and regulatory updates tracking.
Essential Qualifications:
9 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree in related field; 7 years with Master's degree; 4 years with PhD or Juris Doctorate; or High School Diploma with 13 years of relevant experience.
8+ years in nuclear operations, reactor engineering, or related field.
Strong understanding of nuclear reactor systems and safety protocols.
Ability to analyze reactor performance data.
Effective troubleshooting and resolution of operational issues.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with industry regulations (e.g., NRC, DOE).
