**About you and the role**:
In this varied role based in our Pyrmont office, you will be part of our National Advisory Service Employee Relations (**NASER**) team, which sits as part of our broader Employee Relations (**ER**) team. The ER team provides centralised ER and HR support to our business of over 5,000 employees. The NASER team is the national point of contact for business units, projects and employees for all general ER and HR matters.

Reporting to the NASER Manager, you will be a confident advisor with a foundation in providing ER advice. You will support stakeholders at all levels regarding diverse employment related problems for both white-collar and blue-collar employees.

You will enjoy working in a close-knit team and collaborating on case management and ER strategy. You have the utmost respect for confidentiality, thrive under pressure, and be a natural problem solver. You will have high level drafting skills and attention to detail, and the ability to quickly turn around advice and relevant work products. This is a great opportunity to transition in-house and build new skills in providing commercial and pragmatic advice to a range of internal stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities of the role include**:

- Deliver timely, consistent and effective ER solutions and service support to the operational requirements of business units and projects
- Advise on end-to-end case management including but not limited to counselling & disciplinary matters, termination and grievances
- Undertake investigations as required, including gathering evidence and preparing investigation reports
- Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures, in alignment with current legislation and ER management practices
- Review and maintain ER documentation as required, e.g. warnings, termination letters and investigation documents
- Provide on-site support for business units and projects in delivering ER/HR outcomes
- Contribute to a team culture of accountability, delivery and performance excellence
- Identify and implement the use of appropriate technology, ER/HR processes, and ER/HR systems

**To be successful in this key role, you must have**:

- Bachelor degree or other training and qualifications aligned to Employee Relations, eg HR, ER, employment law
- 1-4 years' professional experience in ER, including law firm, employer association, or in-house experience
- Ability to build positive and effective professional relationships
- Ability to solve problems and identify process improvement
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of national and state regulatory frameworks
- Knowledge of employment legislation, including government policy
- Knowledge of contracts and commercial awareness
