**Location**:Glenside (soon relocating to Christie's Beach)
**Role Type**:Casual (with potential for part-time)
**Shifts**:Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 6:00pm

**About Me**

Hi there I'm a 62-year-old man living with a psychosocial disability and acquired brain injury. I'm passionate about chess, Jimi Hendrix, sports, cooking, and having deep, meaningful conversations.

**The Role**

I'm seeking a **self-reliant, compassionate, and emotionally intelligent Support Worker**to join my team. You'll be working within a 2:1 support model, helping me navigate daily life, build skills, and achieve my NDIS goals.

I value empathy, patience, and a calm presence. When I feel overwhelmed, I need someone who can hold space, respond with kindness, and support me through it.

**What You'll Be Doing**
- Supporting me with daily living activities
- Helping me access the community
- Engaging in home-based activities
- Encouraging my independence and personal growth
- Implementing support plans and positive behaviour strategies
- Keeping accurate records and working collaboratively with my team

**About You**

You're someone who:

- Brings a calm, confident, and respectful approach
- Has a great sense of humour and a team spirit
- Understands complex behaviours and responds with compassion
- Is flexible, adaptable, and committed to person-centred support
- Wants to make a real difference in someone's life

**Requirements**:

- NDIS Worker Screening or DHS Disability Check
- Current Driver's Licence
- First Aid & CPR
- Safety Intervention Training
- Cert III in Individual Support (or similar)
- Experience with positive behaviour support and complex needs
