Broad exposure within a high-performing finance team Sydney CBD - Grade A Office Environment $120k-$140k + Super (Negotiable) This is one of those rare roles where you get real breadth — direct and indirect tax, tax governance, technical advisory, and ATO interaction — all within a supportive corporate environment, working closely with both the Head of Tax and Group FC.
Based in the Sydney CBD, this is a great fit for someone who wants to step out of a firm or build on corporate tax experience and take full ownership of the Group's tax function.
What You'll Be Doing: Reviewing and lodging income tax, FBT, GST, and foreign withholding returns Managing tax compliance deadlines and minimising risk of penalties Preparing tax effect accounting entries and supporting audit requirements Working directly with the ATO, supporting reviews and audits Helping improve tax governance and internal processes Supporting ad hoc projects and providing clear, practical tax advice What You'll Bring: CA or CPA qualified, with a degree in Accounting, Finance or Law 4–6 years' experience in a tax role — from either a Big 4/top-tier firm or large corporate Confident working across both direct and indirect tax Clear communicator with a hands-on, solutions-first approach Experience with ATO assurance reviews and tax governance is a real advantage This team moves at pace, supports each other, and values clarity, accountability, and a bit of commercial edge.
