Job Title: Senior Tax Strategist

The Senior Tax Strategist will lead the tax function, developing and implementing tax strategies that align with financial objectives. This role involves maintaining compliance with tax regulations, minimising tax liabilities through strategic planning, and advising senior management on the tax implications of business activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tax strategies to support financial growth, including ongoing review of the company's international tax structure and transfer pricing practices.
  • Advise senior management on the tax implications of business activities, including mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and expansions.
  • Manage all planning and compliance for corporate income taxes, indirect taxation, and tax provisions across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Maintain a tax internal controls environment ensuring compliance across all jurisdictions.
  • Partner with senior leaders and other departments to support business objectives and decision-making with tax insights.
  • Manage relationships with tax authorities and oversee tax audits, examinations, and inquiries.
  • Drive the use of technology to enhance compliance processes.
  • Lead and develop the tax team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Requirements:

  • 10-15 years of experience in tax roles, with at least 5 years in a global tax leadership position.
  • Degree(s) in accounting or law.
  • Strong tax counsel experience, at least 5 years of relevant experience in corporate international tax.
  • Demonstrated experience and strong knowledge in employment tax legislation as applicable to large corporate entities.
  • Proven experience in handling tax audits, negotiating with tax authorities, and managing relationships with regulatory bodies.
