About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Tax Advisory team of 5 Financial, a leading professional services firm, as a Senior Manager based in Rhodes, NSW. As a Senior Manager - Tax Advisory, you will be responsible for providing high-quality tax advisory and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of clients. This is a full-time position that offers a flexible and collaborative work environment.

What you'll be doing

  1. Lead and manage the delivery of tax advisory and compliance services to a range of clients, including individuals, SMEs and corporate entities
  2. Provide expert advice on complex tax matters, including tax planning, tax structuring, and tax risk management
  3. Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, business activity statements, and other tax-related documents
  4. Collaborate with clients, accountants, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient tax compliance
  5. Mentor and develop more junior members of the tax advisory team
  6. Contribute to the growth and development of the tax advisory practice through business development and thought leadership activities

What we're looking for

  1. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a recognised professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA)
  2. A minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience in a tax advisory or compliance role, preferably within a professional services firm
  3. Extensive knowledge and expertise in Australian taxation legislation and compliance requirements
  4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to provide practical and commercial tax advice
  5. Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
  6. Experience in leading and mentoring a team of tax professionals
  7. A tax agent licence or plans to register as a tax agent imminently
