**How will I help?**

Business and Consumer Group (BCG) Financial Markets provides Financial Markets execution, support, advice and risk services to customers across the Business and Wealth Division and the Consumer Division of the Group. The Relationship FX team provides sales, advice, execution, education and transactional support to Wholesale FX Clients of BCG.

As the Relationship FX Team Leader, you will both lead a team of dealers and be a dealer yourself. You will be accountable for providing effective relationship and execution coverage for the Wholesale FX customer base of the Northern region of the country (NSW & QLD).

You will work closely with the Wholesale execution dealers to identify customer opportunities and expand the business through delivering to those opportunities with existing customers, and with new to FM opportunities.

You will be responsible for leading the team to grow the business in their region, whilst ensuring effective collaboration with the other region of relationship FX dealers and the team of Digital and Direct dealers in BCG. You will also ensure relevant stakeholders are appropriately managed, have supervisory responsibilities for all team members, ensuring compliance principles are met, and will be responsible for team coaching and development, and delivering the financial performance of the team.

**What do I need?**

To be successful in this role you will have 7+ years in Financial Markets and demonstrated experience in leading a team of dealers to grow a foreign exchange business covering Wholesale clients, including providing guidance and advice, and leading a proactive sales team.

You will understand compliance obligations and the B&C handbook and ability to lead by example in providing balanced and evidenced advice, with appropriate records kept.

The ability to personally, and through a team, grow a high value portfolio of clients with demonstrable history of achieving sales objectives, is key to the success of this role.

You will have relevant education and professional accreditation, including AFMA.

Additionally, you will have the following skills and experince:

- Exceptional understanding of FX products, deal systems and advanced principles of FX risk management, to enable appropriate education of customers and bankers.
- Ability to build effective teams and strong relationships and has a history of effectively influencing others and managing conflict.
- Effective self-regulation and motivation, ability to operate autonomously, managing the output volume and quality for their team and themselves.
- Proven ability to deliver the best possible results for the organisation; and shows determination, resourcefulness and a sense of purpose in achieving this Understanding of the importance of compliance and regulation and makes sensible, compliant decisions when faced with ambiguity, whilst supporting team members to do the same.
