NextGen Jobs is hiring a Business Trainee to support the **Department of Government Services**. Do you have an interest in launching your career in the government while earning a **Certificate III in Business** ?

This 12 month traineeship based in Ballarat provides support to Consumer Affairs Victoria to ensure the department can operate in an effective and efficient manner.

**Youth Employment Scheme (YES)**

The YES is a Victorian State Government funded initiative designed to increase the workforce participation of young people, particularly those facing significant barriers to employment. These placements provide trainees with meaningful work experience and formal training to give a solid foundation for a sustainable career. Applicants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply

**Position Overview**

As primary point of contact for services by CAV, attend to and resolve telephone enquiries from the Victorian community including consumers, renters, businesses and rental providers.

**Are you**
- Able to work under pressure?
- Proficient in digital and verbal communication?
- Someone with strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working with others?

**Key accountabilities**
- Complete general administrative functions such as data processing and filling
- Assist and provide support to staff on various tasks and projects
- Create and maintain various records and correspondence, both manual and electronic
- General word processing and data entry, including case creation in case management system
- Liaise with people at all levels, both within and outside of the Department
- Complete the TAFE studies associated with the 12 month traineeship.
