The Business Trainee role is designed to provide support to the Consumer Affairs Department in an effective and efficient manner.

Key responsibilities will include providing telephone enquiries support, attending to and resolving calls from the Victorian community including consumers, renters, businesses and rental providers.

As primary point of contact for services by CAV, the successful candidate will be required to work under pressure, possess strong digital and verbal communication skills, as well as have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with others.

Additional key accountabilities will include completing general administrative functions such as data processing and filling, assisting and providing support to staff on various tasks and projects, creating and maintaining various records and correspondence, both manual and electronic, general word processing and data entry, including case creation in case management system, liaising with people at all levels, both within and outside of the Department, and completing TAFE studies associated with the 12 month traineeship.
