Several exciting government opportunities within Financial Accounting.

**Your new company**

We have partnered with a large government department client to assist in their search for several Financial Accountant Vacancies: Financial and Senior Financial Accountant, Finance Manager. These roles are focused on leading the financial reporting and statement preparation.

These opportunities are based in Perth CBD and are for an initial temporary contract period of 3-6 months, with the possibility to extend. Ideally, you are immediately available and able to begin work as soon as possible.

**Your new role**

In the financial accounting team, your responsibilities may include:

- Takes the lead role in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports
- Maintains the integrity of general ledger for all entities
- Month-end activities including Asset Accounting and journals
- Development and maintenance of financial management policies and procedures
- Provides information in support of internal and external audit programs

**What you'll need to succeed**

Previous experience in a similar role is essential, as is:

- In-depth knowledge of current and emerging trends in financial and asset accounting
- Ability to develop, promote and implement financial accounting services
- Strong understanding of business, financial and human resource management
- Possession of a tertiary qualification in accounting or a related discipline and current membership of the CAANZ, CPA or equivalent
