Nufarm is evolving with agriculture to drive value for customers.We are seeking a team-oriented Production Chemist to join our Quality team.
In this role, you will provide Quality Assurance (QA) services to our manufacturing plant by collecting and preparing samples, carrying out laboratory testing and reporting results from the analysis.This role operates on rotating morning and afternoon shifts (6am to 3pm and 3pm to midnight Monday to Friday; 6am to 2pm and 10am to 6pm weekends).

Quality Control (QC) testing of finished products, raw materials, in-process materials, and environmental samples to support plant operationsAdhering to procedures and taking responsibility for analytical test resultsMaintaining awareness of Production Schedule to prioritise laboratory workloads and provide timely services to high-priority areasConducting method improvement/evaluationProviding analytical support for process improvement trials, product quality investigations and product rework and stability trialsTroubleshooting day-to-day product testing issues within the laboratory and production environmentMaintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment used to perform analytical testsComplying with site requirements in the Quality, Safety, Health and Environment practices and proceduresParticipating in continuous improvement projects and providing technical support to the production teamEnsuring QA/QC documentation is accurate and produced in a timely fashionWhat do you bring?
You are a degree-qualified Chemist with experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance of products in a manufacturing environment.
Experience operating and troubleshooting GC and HPLC instruments and a good understanding of GLP, GMP and safety standards are required.
You should be proactive, customer-focused and have excellent communication skills.
Prior hands-on experience in ISO 9001 implementation, Quality module of an ERP system or LIMS would be highly desirable.
You work well autonomously and as part of a wider team.
