**Primary Purpose of Position**:
To provide high quality assessment and feedback services to students pursuing a Certificate III in Individual Support(CHC33015). To participate in work placement assessment and to ensure that the policies and procedures of Apex Training Institute are implemented.

**Ongoing Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
**Responsibilities/duties**
- Assessing students on work placement in CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support
- Where knowledge and skill gaps are identified notify the student of the specific gaps and provide guidance on how the student can resolve these gaps
- Visit students on placement and run physical classes on campus.
- Collaborating with management, training and other Apex staff to achieve the objectives above
- Meeting key performance indices in regards to Workplace assessment
- Putting strategies in place to improve the training and assessment process at Apex Training Institute with collaboration from management, training and other Apex staff to achieve the objectives above
- Perform assessment roles as required by Apex management
- Maintaining an image of friendliness and professionalism towards students at all times
- Support Apex staff in regards to matters of training and assessment
- Follow all reasonable instructions set by Apex staff and management

**Requirements**:
**Qualifications**
- CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent

**Skills/Experience**
- Knowledge of the VET Quality Framework
- Understanding of the Community Services Training Package, in particular the qualification and unit of competency descriptions of the units and qualifications being assessed
- Maintain industry and trainer/assessor currency
- Strong time management and project management skills
- Excellent verbal communication & interpersonal skills along with the ability to build rapport with and motivate students
- IT knowledge and experience using databases
- Holds a genuine interest in and empathy for disadvantaged clients
- Results oriented and self-motivated
- Flexible and positive attitude
- Displays a professional and approachable demeanour
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively without direction
