Siemens Smart Infrastructure Division bundles know-how from our smart grid, low, medium and high voltage, energy automation, energy transmission businesses. Together as a Division we cover every voltage from low voltage, through to medium and high voltage, plus we are heavily investing globally and locally in the market growth areas of micro grid, big data, energy storage and more.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Contract Manager to join our Project Management Team. Reporting directly to the Head of Project Management Office, you would be responsible for the project contractual and commercial management function of the assigned project portfolio.
**Key responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to**:
- Developing, implementing and regularly reviewing the claim strategy with regards to customers, sub-suppliers and partners together with Project Managers
- Participating in sales handover and provide Project Managers the key term summary as reference for project management
- Supporting the Project Managers in identifying, evaluating and assessing the project risk and opportunities during the project execution phase
- Providing ongoing guidance and support to the project management team with regards to contractual and commercial management of contract execution; Creating overall awareness about contractual claims and ensure internal stakeholders understand relevant contractual terms and conditions
- Acting as a focal point for management of claims of assigned projects and ensure timely submission of claims and correspondences in accordance with contractual terms and conditions
- Tracking of claim and change management and assisting Project Managers with solution of contractual and commercial issues
- Managing compliance of multiple contracts including notices, extensions and variations
- Maintain proactive relationships and management with the customers, suppliers and contractors so as to effectively monitor contractual compliance requirements and ensure adherence and conformance of contract delivery requirements and terms
- Preparing and managing claims in accordance with the contract, defence against incoming claims and create counter claims, preparing and managing the extension of time claims, prolongation cost, acceleration cost by working with time scheduler, Project Manager, and other stakeholders.
**About you**:
The role requires commercial acumen and experience in project delivery, strong claims and contract management skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills, sound understanding on contract terms and conditions, project costing, scope and schedule, risk and opportunity management.
