Contract Manager

Responsibilities include:

- Effective contract negotiation and management
- Negotiation and administration of head contract; and
- Tendering, negotiation and administration of subcontracts.
- Responsible for relevant Insurances
- Act as the focal point for Client and Subcontractor engagement in matters concerning the negotiation and management of contracts
- Provide general contracting advice and support
- Act as the interface focal point between the corporate legal team
- Responsible for preparing and responding to contractual qualification registers to support the tendering submission
- Support the tender handover process to the Projects and Operations teams and specifically contributes the contractual handover element
- Support the project managers in the development of subcontract packages and providing contract negotiation support for subcontracts
- Provide head contract, and subcontract management duties during the execution of the contract, including the drafting / checking of formal correspondence, variation order management, dispute manager, etc
- Develop strategies to maximise commercial benefit during contract execution, including the identification and preparation of variation order requests and their negotiation and agreement
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of contracting / subcontracting tools for the Department
- Provide training and leadership to improve contractual awareness and understanding amongst our commercial and projects / operations teams

About You:

- Commerce / Business qualification to degree level
- Tertiary qualification (or equivalent on the job experience) in Contract Management (e.g. Law, Construction Management, Contract Management, Project Management, etc
- Advanced contract management experience
- Commercial acumen
- Industry experience in one or both of the subsea oil and gas industry
