**About the Role**
We are currently looking for an experienced Workforce Planning Manager due to continuous growth within the business. Workforce Planning's primary purpose is to ensure all projects are undertaken with sufficiently skilled people to ensure success. The Workforce Planning Manager is required to oversee the timely and efficient training and movement of Contract Resources' (CR) staff to meet the Australian and New Zealand Business (ANZ) needs while ensuring compliance with CR policy and procedures.
**Role Accountabilities include**:
- Be a focal point for the provision of workforce planning services within the company.
- Responsible for overseeing all agreed workforce planning movements and ensuring the correct systems are documented and being utilised.
- Oversee Workforce Planning Administrators ensuring:
- Crew sheets are submitted for review by Project Manager and/or Supervisor.
- Crew training requirements are identified,
- Training organised provided to personnel by approved providers.
- Crews mobilised are suitably qualified to perform duties as determined by key stakeholders.
- Crews are aware of all travel arrangements, employment conditions and, where possible, immediate onsite requirements.
- Mobilise additional crew members to site when required.
- Site inductions organised as required in conjunction with Project Managers and HR
- Submit medical requests through Company preferred medical provider.
- Liaise with HR/HSEQ when required in relation to fit for work requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with employees regarding upcoming projects.
- Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to optimise the Workforce Planning function
- Assist General Managers to develop, and recommend for approval:
- Strategic plans for growth and development of new business.
- Areas where costs can be reduced.
- Ensure all decision-making is undertaken within approved limits of delegated authority.
- Point of contact between WFP and Travel Management Company.
- Provide advice and support to internal stakeholders on project employees. Facilitate access to the crew to conduct required training and organise when required.
- Maintain database/s of project employee skills.
- Act as the company's first point of contact in dealing with employee concerns and liaise with HR.
- Provide reporting on OPA completion to the business.
- Review and raise concerns raised by OPAs as they come in.
- Represent the Company appropriately in dealing with external parties including customers, suppliers, professional advisors, industry groups and other agencies as necessary.
**To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following**:
- Skills in people planning and movement systems.
- Ability to oversee and manage the deployment of people resources efficiently and effectively.
- Skills in future planning liaising with management.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- High level written & communication skills.
- Evaluating and understanding conflicting priorities and demonstrating strategic decision making.
- Knowledge of utilising a workforce planning system with the ability to learn differing IT systems.
- Ability to learn the database of project crews and their skill levels
