We are one of Australia's largest and longest established manufacturers of high-quality processed animal feed products, providing compound feeds, concentrates and nutritional services for commercially farmed animals from sites throughout Australia and New Zealand.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Ingredient Buyer to join our team in Enfield, New South Wales.
This newly created position will take on responsibility for ingredient purchasing activities for our feed mills on both coasts, to support the delivery of effective outcomes in in accordance with quality standards, customer specifications and schedules, and in compliance with company policies, procedures, directions and guidelines.
You will achieve this through sourcing competitive pricing for ingredients, planning for and mitigating supply chain issues, managing ingredient procurement records and documentation, monitoring ingredient levels in SAP and raising purchase orders to maintain target days-on-hand, as well as actively supporting workplace inspections for hazards and hygiene and continually seeking opportunities for supply chain and purchasing improvement.

About you
To be successful in this role, it will be advantageous to have demonstrable experience in a similar purchasing or supply chain role. Experience of using SAP is highly regarded.
You will have well developed communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, and enjoy working as part of a team. While optimistic and positive, you will demonstrate the ability to anticipate and mitigate against potential issues.
Knowledge of animal nutrition quality standards including HACCP, GMP and Feedsafe would be an advantage but not essential. Sound experience in procurement/supply chain, communication skills and a great attitude are most important.
