**About the role**

The Product Data Lead is a key member of the Retail X Consumer team, and their primary responsibility is to lead the design and transformation of our product go to market, renewal and pricing processes.

The role will work Product Delivery Leads and Strategic Pricing Leads to design and build an automated solution to enhance current go to market processes and execute pricing strategies. End users will benefit from improvements in the speed, performance, and efficiency of the new re-designed processes.

Working with data from various systems across Origin, this role will be responsible for the development and coordination of data pipelines and models within our central, cloud-based data and analytics environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Designing, building and testing product creation, product renewal and pricing processes in Kraken CRM platform.
- Training internal stakeholders on how to execute and manage scripts to run the day-to-day automated processes.
- Identifying and implementing the most efficient ways of performing data transformation tasks using best practice methods and tooling.
- Preparing and maintain documentation such as business requirements documents, design specifications and test cases.
- Working with stakeholders (including data team leads and front-line managers) to understand business requirements and translate these into technical specifications.

**Skills & Experience**
- Tertiary qualification in an IT related discipline
- Strong SQL & Python skills, ideally in PostgreSQL
- Experience with Selenium, Chrome Driver and VBA
- Good understanding of data modelling principles, database design, and query optimisation
- Experience orchestrating ETL jobs and data pipelines, good understanding of ETL frameworks, including error handling.
- Experience documenting data processes and data models (e.g. entity relationship diagrams/Data Flow Diagrams)
