**Tattarang **is one of Australia's largest private investment groups and is owned by the Forrest family. Our investment portfolio spans across agri-food, energy, resources, property, and lifestyle.
Tattarang is looking for talented individuals with experience in the health-tech field (including biotech, med-tech, life sciences, healthcare, and digital health).
**Job Description**:
Working closely with the Managing Director and other team members, the Investment Manager has a key role in managing investments and tracking individual investment and portfolio progress.
The Investment Manager will be involved in all aspects of the investment process from origination, screening, due diligence, approvals and management. You will source proprietary investment opportunities and create deal flow with the goal of investing a significant amount of capital annually into high-quality opportunities that support our focus areas.
Duties include:
- Develop a complete understanding of emerging companies within our focus areas by evaluating their market opportunity, competition, product, sales and growth, operations, financial statements and projections, management strength, equity needs, and capital structure.
- Maintain great relationships with entrepreneurs and other venture capital funds.
- Meet regularly with VCs and innovation partners and attend conferences and industry events to maintain a pulse on market developments.
- Develop market landscapes and points-of-view on emerging trends.
- Source and coordinate Incubation support services for portfolio companies.
- Work with and support portfolio companies, including attending board meetings.
- Represent Tattarang at external events and financial sector forums.
- Build the Tattarang community and facilitate knowledge sharing between investees and the extensive networks around Tattarang.
- Help manage and support a network of Tattarang Venture Partners and pool of independent Advisory Board Members.
- Experience with entrepreneurship support and/or tech community building.
**Qualifications**:
You have a university degree (science, business or combined) plus a minimum of five years' experience, in an entrepreneurial or research or STEM or similar context with a focus on HealthTech.
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience including experience at a venture capital firm, or corporate venture capital group, with a good understanding of the early-stage venture capital space. Work experience in ANZ Medtech/Biotech preferred.
You have experience of investment/financial analysis within private markets, especially private equity preferably gained with another VC firm.
You can demonstrate skill in originating, analysing, and recommending investments, documenting the rationale for making investments and monitoring them once selected.
You possess deep understanding of HealthTech and Life sciences business models and intellectual property considerations.
You have highly developed analytical skills with ability to define issues, collect and analyse pertinent data, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, draw valid conclusions, propose sound recommendations, and implement approved solutions in support of specified goals; attention to detail is critical.
You should have a successful track record of investing and adding value to portfolio companies.
You have strong technical experience in a relevant field of medicine through work experience and/or University degree.
You have highly effective writing skills with an established body of work and high attention to detail.
You have a bias toward action/getting things done with high self-motivation; and an ability to work in a largely.
