An exiting opportunity exists to join the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority Schools division (VRQA). The VRQA Schools division is responsible for the registration and regulation of Victorian Schools across the government, independent and Catholic sector, student exchange organisations, non-school senior secondary and foundation secondary providers, awarding bodies and school boarding premises. The division also accredits senior secondary and foundation secondary courses.
The role will manage the registration and regulation of registered schools providing courses to overseas students (CRICOS registration) and student exchange organisations. To be successful in this role you will have experience in international education including with the Education Services for Overseas Students regulatory framework.
You will have a proven track record of building strong stakeholder relationships. A key aspect of the role involves developing relationships with stakeholders across the independent, Catholic and government school sectors, other regulators and government departments in Victoria and nationally.
The role will manage a small team and ensure risk based and effective regulation of international education duty holders.
Reporting to the Deputy CEO Schools, the role will also work with the School Reviews and School Registrations teams to ensure registered schools, school boarding premises and other providers meet the required standards including the Child Safe Standards.
