A junior/entry level accounts officer is needed for a successful civil engineering client - perm role

**Your new company**

My client is a big name within Civil Engineering and consider themselves a 'one stop shop' for their partners/clients. Due to success and growth, they are looking to offer a junior accounts officer the opportunity to join their team and learn the ropes with plenty of support and opportunity for growth.

**Your new role**

As a Junior Accounts Officer, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our company. Your responsibilities will include:

- ** Posting and Processing Transactions**: Ensure accurate recording of all business transactions by posting journal entries.
- ** Accounts Receivable and Invoicing**: Update accounts receivable records and issue invoices promptly.
- ** Accounts Payable Management**: Handle accounts payable tasks and perform reconciliations.
- ** Financial Statement Preparation**: Assist in processing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
- ** Expense Review**: Collaborate with senior accountants to review expenses and payroll records.
- ** Data Accuracy**: Update financial data in databases to ensure real-time accuracy.
- ** Monthly Reporting**: Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports on financial performance.

**What you'll need to succeed**

1. **Attention to detail**:This role will include making accurate entries in journals and possessing exceptional data entry skills

2. **Computer savvy**:The company uses a software called MYOB. Experience with this is a bonus, otherwise Excel and general computer skills are necessary

3. **Team player**:Able to follow instructions and be adaptable, open to feedback and willing to pitch in and help other team members where needed

4. **Highly numerate**:An interest in numbers and accounting is necessary. If you have experience, that would be even better
