New Opportunity for a Junior Accountant to Intermediate Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientated Junior to Intermediate Accountant to join the SPC team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to launch their career in accounting and gain practical experience in a dynamic and supporting work environment.

The Role

  • Working alongside the partners and other team members in providing tax advice to clients.
  • Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for various entity types (including sole traders, partnerships, trust, and companies).
  • Preparing and lodging BASs & IAS Returns.
  • Experience in SMSF's is a bonus but not required.
  • Provide support and knowledge to other team members, where required.
  • Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office.
  • Liaising with clients.

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 1-2 years' experience within an accounting firm.
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting and have started their CA or CPA.
  • Experience using MYOB/XERO/Microsoft Office.
  • Have a friendly personality and excellent communication skills; with a good command of written and spoken English.
  • Possess a can do-attitude and a passion for continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Extraordinary level of attention to detail.
  • A good sense of humour — because who says accountants can't have fun?
