
Principal Specialist Service Coordinator

Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a strong, integrated Community Youth Response and Diversion service system in collaboration with non-government funded and unfunded provider/s, and relevant government agencies at a local level, and conduct planning activities, including service mapping and outcome monitoring and evaluation, to identify potential challenges and enhance service delivery. Provide leadership in the implementation of strategies that facilitate and sustain the formation of partnerships between the department and key stakeholders within the region and at a local level, to support the achievement of outcomes being sought within the region. Deliver accountable and collaborative integrated Community Youth Responses and Diversions that respect the culture and context of each child, young person, family and community in accordance with departmental policies and procedures, statutory responsibilities and Youth Justice Practice Framework. Establish and maintain effective communication with key stakeholders. Represent youth justice at relevant stakeholder meetings, consultation forums, committees, multi-agency collaborative panels and working groups as required. Facilitate the effective engagement in the partnership of people, communities and organisations from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Promote learning and information sharing in relation to services, networks and referral pathways within the community, through site mentoring, delivery of learning and development opportunities, and via the preparation of a range of high quality communication materials. Enhance the local regional community by actively practicing and promoting excellence in service delivery and public administration and identifying opportunities for improving regional client service.
