**About the Position**:
An opportunity to drive innovation in Council's Insurance Portfolio and claims management.
Working with a small team of corporate professionals, we are seeking a logical, task and solutions focused individual that has excellent customer service. In this role you will lead the organisation's risk planning and management as well as oversee council's insurance management, including claims.
Strategic assessment of Council's insurance needs as well as the procurement and annual renewal of Council's insurance portfolio.
Effective management of Council's insurance portfolio including overseeing claims, monitoring Council's performance, identifying service improvements to reduce the number and value of Council's claims and reporting performance to the Executive Leadership Team.
Ensuring that trends in insurance and claims fed into Council's consideration of strategic and operational risk
**About You**:
To thrive, you are likely to be highly motivated, analytical with excellent attention to detail, with excellent communication skills, and most importantly the desire to deliver the quality outcomes for council and our community.
**Requirement of the position**:
