Fortescue's Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.Roster : 8D6R FIFO ex PerthReporting to the Superintendent - Health & Safety, this role is responsible for assisting with the planning, improvement, and implementation of Fortescue's Health and Safety Management System.
You will participate and coach operational leadership in the implementation of Fortescue's safety and Risk Reduction programs.With previous experience in incident investigations (in particular ICAM), you will engage and provide guidance to operational leadership to improve organisational learning within health and safety.Key ResponsibilitiesEngage with leaders to support HSES strategic goalsCoach and mentor frontline leaders to build safety capabilitySupport incident investigations and ensure effective closeoutDrive implementation of Major Hazard Program and Risk frameworkEnsure compliance with HSES systems, standards, and legislationAnalyse safety data to identify trends and improvement areasContribute to setting and achieving HSES objectives and targetsPromote visible Safety leadership and field engagementSupport audits, inspections, and action closeoutQualifications and ExperiencePositive, passionate team player, committed to safety and supporting others.Eager to grow in an exciting, evolving business and contribute to a high-performing teamTertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety (desirable)Experience in Health & Safety roles within Mining, Heavy Industry, or ConstructionProven experience supporting HSES systems, audits, and assurance activitiesStrong knowledge of WHS Legislation and application in operational environmentsDemonstrated ability to coach and influence frontline leaders and operational teamsExperience in incident investigation (ICAM or equivalent methodology)Competency in Risk / Hazard Management, Critical ControlsSkilled in data analysis and safety reporting tools (desirable)About UsBe part of something big.
