We are seeking an Economic Development Officer to work with and support the start-up, innovation, entrepreneurship, life science, and technology sector within Perth city. This will include co-working spaces, innovation spaces, incubators and accelerators, start-up ecosystem groups, institutional bodies, technology providers, and State and Federal Government initiatives in these sectors.

This position will also work with relevant industry groups (such as Start-Up WA, tech-related hubs, and risk capital bodies) to deliver investment and growth within the start-up, life sciences, innovation, and technology ecosystem in Perth and undertake regular analysis and reporting of initiatives.

Reporting to the Economic Development Principal, this position will support the City by:

- Establishing and maintaining appropriate stakeholder relationships with the start-up ecosystem, co-working spaces, peak bodies, life science organisations, and innovation ecosystem providers within the city.
- Delivering projects that develop sectors of the City economy across start-ups, technology, life sciences, and innovation / entrepreneurial ecosystems inclusive of actions within the Technology Action Plan.
- Undertaking detailed monitoring of the financial and economic impacts of initiatives and policy positions across relevant sectors.
