**The Opportunity**
The Duty Manager role exists to ensure optimal DC operational performance across the key pillars of safety, service, people and value to create a world class supply chain that is described as the best and safest place to work. The Duty Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of their relevant shift to ensure delivery in full, on time and error free.
**A typical day would involve
- Support and foster a culture of diversity and inclusion in the workplace
- Adhere to, and enforce compliance with all legal obligations and requirements eg.enterprise agreements, Chain of Responsibility along with company policies and processes and DC Work Instructions
- Promote safety values and implement safety, health and environment policies and systems to embed safety into the culture and ways of working
- Support the Operations Manager in leading business, operational and special event planning for the relevant shift they are responsible for
- Provide leadership to their team and appropriate coaching and mentoring
- Sponsor and lead change initiatives within the DC, including partnering with support functions throughout Primary Connect and other business units in the Woolworths Group
- Promote succession and development planning throughout both the relevant shift that they are responsible for and also throughout the DC through clearly defined recruitment procedures, open and transparent communication, feedback to team members and relief opportunities
**Who we're looking for
- Operational leadership experience
- People management experience
- Experienced at leading and implementing change
- Knowledge of Six Sigma or lean processing principles
- Knowledge of relevant OH&S and RTW legislation
- Incident investigation experience (ICAM preferred)
- Extensive experience in FMCG, Distribution, retail, people management
- Desirable, formal qualifications in business or supply chain operations
