About you
We are looking for people eager to take the next step in their project support career with excellent communications skills and strong stakeholder management experience. We welcome a range of different backgrounds to apply, including but not limited to, policy officers, project supports and communication officers. Prior experience within the Victorian Public Sector and/or exposure to parliament/government/ministerial processes is highly advantageous.
This is a process-driven role, and we need someone with a meticulous eye, strong coordination skills and system savviness. Your primary focus is on quality and fine-tuning processes to ensure compliance within a government framework. We're busy at LXRP with priorities changing every day, so you need to enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and in return you'll be rewarded with a career defining opportunity.
**About the role**:
LXRP's Business Strategy unit has a unique opportunity on offer supporting the dynamic and driven Ministerial and Parliamentary Services team.
As the Ministerial and Parliamentary Officer you will coordinate and provide quality assurance for ministerial and parliamentary business and you will play a strong role within LXRP, contributing to setting writing standards across the organisation.
**What is essential to this role**:
- A strong ability to work effectively and clearly communicate with a broad range of people
- Coordinating the preparation of ministerial correspondence, memos and briefings - no day is the same, you need to be confident in your planning and prioritisation strategies to navigate deadlines.
- A keen eye for detail - whilst we operate in a fast-paced environment, quality is always front of mind.
As a project, we love new ideas and drive innovation, so we are looking for you to use your initiative and contribute to identifying and delivering process improvements. Additionally, you will build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve ministerial and parliamentary outcomes.
As we venture back into the office (CBD), we have a hybrid working policy that allows you to work a mix of home and in the office.
About us
At LXRP, we're not just removing level crossings, we are removing barriers and creating legacies for our communities for years to come. Inclusion is a priority for us, and we are committed to creating an employee community that reflects those in which we work.

- We are proud leaders and participants of internship programs that provide opportunities to people who identify as LGBTIQ, people living with a disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, refugees or asylum seekers or people from low socioeconomic backgrounds.
- We offer and encourage flexible work practices and purchased leave arrangements for all our employees to support wellbeing, family or career commitments or other personal circumstances.
- We place great importance on growth, empowering our people to enhance their knowledge, capability and experience through continual learning, formal training and lessons learned.
- Health, safety and wellbeing are at the heart of what we do. We focus on the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of our people to create a safe and healthy workplace for everyone, every day, everywhere.
