As part of a wider round of senior accounting appointments The Acquire Group has been retained to appoint an experienced AP/AR individual. After recent acquisition this former Private Equity backed Utilities / Telco operator is currently building its internal accounting functions including AP & AR. You will be an experienced AP operator who is comfortable working independently and building things from "scratch". This is a faced PE environment and this is a role that will evolve and grow quickly.

At its core this is an AP role which would suit someone who has worked at a senior or management position within this vertical. However, your remit would cover AR and in an ideal world some exposure to Payroll. In return the CFO will ensure that you get given the platform to accelerate your career by having exposure to senior leadership. Your role will cover
- Oversee the Accounts Payable function and team performance, in line with organisational policies
- Drive the design and implementation of process improvements to current systems and procedures
- Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure they are provided with all relevant data
- Respond to and resolve supplier and employee enquiries
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Accurate and timely data entry relating to invoice processing
- Supplier follow up including matching, batching and coding
- Final review of payments and working within cashflow
- Manual payment processing
- Monthly reporting
- Support internal projects including new system implementation
