**About the role**:
We're seeking a dynamic, values driven, and experienced **Policy Lead
- Environmental Sustainability** to champion policy development, research, and stakeholder engagement in crucial areas impacting our industry. This role presents an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the future of the Australian dairy landscape.

Lead the charge in researching, analysing, and advising the Australian dairy industry on key issues such as water policy (including Murray Darling Basin Plan), climate action (GHG adaptation and mitigation policy), energy policy (e.g. coal seam gas, renewables, transmission, and pricing), land use planning, and other environmental concerns (this may include effluent and waste management, sustainable packaging etc). You will develop evidence-based policy proposals, recommendations, and solutions, ensuring they align with the industry's goals and objectives.

This role will sit within our Sustainable Dairy team and will report into our Environment and Sustainability Manager.

**About you**:
With tertiary qualifications in Natural Resource Management, Agricultural Economics, Science, Environmental Sustainability, Public Policy or equivalent experience in a similar role (ideally within the agricultural and/or food manufacturing sector), you will bring a mix of technical knowledge and the ability to find solutions that align to our values and strategic aims.

This role will continue to build on your strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, well-honed project management skills, and ability to develop, implement, lead, and deliver policy outcomes in a multi-disciplinary and cross-functional team environment.

You will also be able to demonstrate understanding of climate, water and natural resource management policy and regulatory developments at national (State and Commonwealth) and international levels while understanding the potential implications of these on the dairy industry's productivity.
