Reporting to the Head of People - Retail you will partner with Retail leaders across **our retail network **to deliver the people strategy, while maximising the capability of our people and teams.

This role includes coaching of business leaders, collaborating with the wider people team and building strong relationships across the business to provide solution-oriented outcomes.

Please note this is a **12-month fixed term contract** (October 2024 - October 2025)

Your key responsibilities will be:

- Partnering with Head of Retail and retail leaders on shaping people strategy and solutions and executing cyclical activity in partnership with our people function
- Building management capability and providing coaching and guidance to managers where required
- Leading conversations around talent management, succession planning and team engagement
- Balancing commercial objectives with the needs of our people to create an engaging and effective team experience
- Supporting leaders in change management principles for delivery of projects or initiatives
- Facilitate leadership training across retail network (AU and potentially NZ)
- Facilitating, leading projects and executing initiatives for continuous improvement that support the broader Retail people plan

Note: Domestic travel is required on the occasion (approx. once per quarter) to support in facilitating leadership training.

As you partner with your leaders to manage the end-to-end team member life cycle, you'll be juggling multiple hats at any one time, so prioritisation and collaboration is key.

Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate:

- Prior experience in a generalist People Partner role within retail supporting a large team member base
- Experience working with and a strong understanding the legislative requirements of GRIA
- Experience with EBA interpretation
- The ability to solve problems creatively and draw on your best-practice HR experience
- Excellent influencing skills and communication skills
- Experience managing competing priorities
- Strong time management skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Exposure to org design principles and wider project/change management capability
- An openness to support the full range of people activities, from partnering with senior leaders, to supporting the operational aspects of people movements and changes
