This client-facing role involves bringing on new clients in Australia by applying communication, problem-solving, and persuasion skills to deliver an exceptional estate and financial planning experience. When hired, we will locate and lease an office convenient for you and our clients. You will host and speak at workshops, meet with probable clients for first consultations, inspire clients to take next steps, retain clients through your influence, conduct interim meetings, consult and design individualized estate plans, and document signing meetings with clients.
You will have mentor attorneys and advisors to work closely with you as you develop. Responsibilities
Hosting and speaking at public workshops; educate probable clients about all of their estate and financial planning options
Meeting with probable clients for first consultations and gathering necessary information to make planning recommendations, and aiding the client in overcoming procrastination and retention
Engaging clients to move forward with preparation of estate planning documents
Reviewing drafts of the estate plan to ensure it meets client needs and wishes
Using legal knowledge to make fiduciary recommendations to create an exceptional, individualized plan
Conducting document signing appointments with clients including notarization and explaining the plan, based on client wishes and needs
Assessing opportunities to provide integrated estate and financial planning
Recording detailed notes of all meetings and phone calls in the client database
Meeting weekly with an assigned mentor attorney to discuss complex matters and obtain technical guidance
Communicating with clients, attorneys, financial advisors, and staff
Responding to client requests via email and telephone
Working collaboratively with the team
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate and Licensed to Practice as an Attorney
Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office and Apple
Ability to work early evenings twice a month
No estate planning specific experience required
