We're looking for a Associate Patent Attorney for our Chemistry team. A minimum requirement for this role is a PhD in a Chemistry related discipline and expertise in; organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, biochemistry or chemical biology.
- Carrying out local business development activities.
- Conducting patent oppositions, including preparation of statements and evidence, briefing counsel and conducting/preparing for hearings.
- Litigation activities.

- Excellent communication skills with a strong command of written and verbal English.
- Able to understand, and critically analyse information, and think laterally.
- Able to clearly and concisely communicate in writing.
- Well organised and self motivated.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Taking responsibility for developing external and internal clients to bring in new business and grow.
- Advising on patentability of inventions.
- Advising on matters of patent law, including novelty and inventiveness requirements.
- Conducting/arranging patent searches where appropriate.
- Interpreting technical results of the searches and advising clients.
