Overview
Paxon Group is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing Private Client Services Division within its Perth office. The firm will consider both full-time and part-time candidates and offers flexible working arrangements to cater for personal circumstances. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop to a Manager level, and Paxon will assist with professional education qualifications in reaching CPA or CA status.

Responsibilities
Preparation of financial statements
Preparation of income tax returns for all entity types
Sound understanding of all facets of tax legislation
Interpretation of business trends
Analytical review of financial performance of client affairs utilising the latest software
Direct contact with clients and development of client relationships
Client base relates to high net worth individuals, listed entities, not-for-profit and large family groups
Qualifications
Strong background in Public Practice Accounting
Strong ability to provide analytical review of client businesses
Sound understanding of cash flows, business reporting and profitability
Excellent understanding of accounting packages, particularly MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks
Strong communication skills to respond to client queries and requests
Excellent written skills for corresponding with clients
High level of expertise in Microsoft Office products
Ability to work autonomously
A minimum of 5 years public practice accounting experience
Degree qualification in a related field
CPA or CA certification is preferred or currently undertaking the certification would be highly regarded, but is not essential
