What we're doing
The opportunity to join our Corporate Affairs team doesn't come up often, so this one's exciting We're looking for a talented communications specialist to support our team and play a hands-on role in delivering the overarching Corporate Affairs strategy and REA's organisational priorities, including working with the team to positively influence key stakeholders, across media, industry, government, customers and consumers. Day to day you can expect to do the following:
- Promoting REA Group's brands through compelling communications using different earned and owned media channels- Writing media releases, including pitching stories directly into media with a focus on trade media- Developing communications and briefing materials to support media activity and a wide range of other external stakeholder activity across the business- Supporting the organisation and management of REA media events and activities- Supporting the development of company reports such as the Annual Report and quarterly financial reports- Supporting cross-functional teams to identify and submit relevant external award nominations- Development of collateral materials and content including internal and external presentations and audio-visual content- Management of REA's media monitoring services and ensuring awareness of relevant coverage throughout the business
Who we're looking for- You'll have a bachelor's degree in communications, business, commerce, PR or journalism, as well as a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a fast-paced communications environment- Consider yourself a savvy media professional - someone who consumes media, understands what makes news and is comfortable pitching stories to journalists- Strong writing skills and the ability to switch between writing styles- Detail-focused and quick to learn and quick to deliver- Hyper organised and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and agile environment- A natural team player who displays the REA Values consistently at the highest level- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, resilience, and a sense of pride to get the job done- Strong relationship management skills and previous experience working with multiple stakeholders at varying levels of seniority- Considers, understands and respects different views as part of the decision making process- Someone who has a good mix of creativity and understands corporate communications- A strong understanding of earned and owned media channels and eagerness to further develop these skills- Tech-savvy with solid IT skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat)
