Public Affairs and Corporate Communications Professional

We are seeking a passionate corporate communications professional to deliver advisory services to our clients. This is a unique opportunity to take on a dual role in a newly developed offering, reporting to both the Head of Corporate and the company's Public and Government Affairs Lead. Our team offers clients depth of experience in applied consulting across key areas of policy & regulatory engagement, corporate reputation & issues, strategic communications and ESG & impact strategy.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with clients to develop and execute integrated communications strategies.
  • Develop and manage relationships with government officials, policymakers, industry associations, and other key stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain a strong media presence in the Australian market.
  • Drive business growth through organic and new business initiatives.
  • Contribute to Edelman's thought leadership and cultural initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in public affairs and corporate communications.
  • Strong understanding of media relations, public policy, and government relations.
  • Ability to execute impactful campaigns in both areas.
  • Confidence in presenting and selling ideas, stories or solutions.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Commercial acumen and demonstrated proficiency with budgets and financial management.
