**About the role**:
Statutory authority currently seeks an experienced Corporate Communications Writer to undertake a full-time, 3-month contracts based in Melbourne CBD. As the Corporate Communications Writer, you will assist with the development and implementation of the agency's communication, engagement and marketing strategies and provides communications advice to stakeholders for key program initiatives. The role also has responsibility for writing, proofing, editing and publishing content across the organisation's communication channels.

**Responsibilities and tasks**:
Key responsibilities will include:

- Develop and implement internal and external strategic communication and stakeholder engagement strategies to support the program, including drafting and coordinating all communication activities.
- Produce and deliver a diverse range of high-quality communication to customers - consistent with whole of government and the organisation's communication policies and standards.
- Write, edit, and proof external customer-based written communication, in consultation with various stakeholders including business experts and specialists.
- Provide specialist communication advice and services across the program.
- Deliver training, advice, and assistance to staff in relation to communicating with customers and complying with the organisation's External Communications Guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to write, edit and proof written material, to ensure it meets customer needs, is accurate, grammatically correct, clear, concise, and consistent, and is consistent in tone and message.
- Ensure all activities meet communication and organisational objectives, adhere to style guides, and meet Whole of Victorian Government (WoVG) accessibility, discoverability, usability, and quality requirements.

**Key Selection Criteria**:
The skills and experience you will need to demonstrate include:

- Proven experience in developing and implementing digital content programs and initiatives for a broad target audience.
- Significant experience in writing Corporate Communications, including using a Content Management system, editing, and proofing corporate materials for a range of audiences and communication channels, preferably with knowledge of WoVG accessibility, discoverability (search), usability, and quality standards and procedures.
- Demonstrated organisational and planning skills to manage own work, assist other team members, support concurrent projects and activities, and assist delivery teams to monitor progress and achieve targeted outcomes.
- Proven analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and risks, recommend creative solutions to complex problems or sensitive issues and develop compelling stories that align with government policy, promote behaviour change and meet communications objectives.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management to collaborate with others, manage critical relationships, and negotiate with and influence diverse senior stakeholders to achieve key outcomes.

**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualification in Communications, Journalism, Content Writing or a related field
- Previous experience within the government sector will be highly regarded
