Senior Test Engineer – Hardware Engineering
to join our dynamic engineering team.
In this senior role, you will take the lead in developing and managing comprehensive test strategies, overseeing environmental and factory acceptance testing, and ensuring our products meet the highest standards before they reach our clients.
This is more than a testing role — it's an opportunity to take ownership, influence product success, and mentor the next generation of engineering talent.

The opportunity
You'll be working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment on mission-critical hardware products that have real-world impact.
Key responsibilities:
Develop test strategies in collaboration with the Product Delivery/Principal Engineer.
Manage system requirements to ensure effective validation and verification.
Estimate, develop, and execute environmental test plans while driving efficiency.
Capture and document all objective qualification evidence for product release.
Investigate test failures and collaborate with engineers on remediation.
Lead or support rectification, replacement, or modification during testing phases.
Conduct factory acceptance testing on-site and off-site for new hardware products.
Provide engineering artefacts and support technical/internal/external reviews.
Drive timely and high-quality delivery of assigned tasks and report progress.
Build strong working relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders.
About you
Proven experience managing hardware through V&V activities and factory acceptance testing.
Expertise in writing test plans and documentation that align with customer requirements.
Hands-on experience testing hardware components using formal methodologies.
Deep understanding of developmental and production hardware testing best practices.
Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a team environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an innovative mindset.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering (or related field).
Eligible for membership with a recognised professional engineering body.
Eligible for registration as a Recognised Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ).
Eligible to obtain NV1 Defence Security Clearance (must be willing to apply for NV2).
