In this key leadership role, you'll ensure the smooth and efficient operation of critical technical services in line with defined service levels.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the performance of IT services, drive improvements, and influence both technology outcomes and business success.About UsHealius employs 8,000+ passionate people, with an expansive network of over 100 medical laboratories and 2000 patient collection centres operating across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia.We provide 1 in every 3 pathology services in Australia, extending from exclusively servicing some of Australia's largest and most complex private and public hospitals, to small Indigenous Australian communities.This means that you will be working with purpose whilst being a part of a business big enough to offer interstate mobility, job security and opportunities to fulfill your career ambitions.What You Will Be DoingYour key responsibilities will include:Leading the management, provision, support, and availability of Healius' enterprise technical servicesOwning incident escalations, service restoration, and ongoing service performanceManaging technical staff, including performance reviews, career development, and team cultureOverseeing the prioritisation of service delivery based on business and customer needsDriving continuous improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities for efficiencySupporting a wide range of technologies and resolving complex technical issuesEnsuring availability of services 24/7 in alignment with SLAs and KPIsExploring alternative technologies and innovations to support strategic goalsParticipating in key meetings and acting as the final escalation point for technical solution conflictsEnsuring team alignment with change control, uptime standards, and production system stabilityMaintaining data confidentiality and complying with all WHS policies and proceduresPromoting an inclusive, agile, and collaborative team environmentWhat Type of Person Will Be SuccessfulThese are the type of attributes & skills you would possess:2+ years of experience in a technical leadership or IT operations roleProven experience managing technical support and service delivery functions in a complex environmentStrong working knowledge of ITSM tools, particularly ServiceNowExperience managing full lifecycle of IT service tickets (incidents, tasks, escalations)Comfortable working with diverse stakeholders across all levels of the businessSolid understanding of ITIL frameworks and best practicesExceptional planning, time management, and organisational skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and influenceProficiency in preparing technical documentation, presentations, and training materialAbility to prioritise competing demands and remain calm under pressureSkilled in conflict resolution and problem-solving in high-pressure environmentsA collaborative, team-first approach with strong independent decision-making capabilitiesFamiliarity with the healthcare sector is a bonus.Benefits, Perks and WellbeingAs part of working for Healius, you will have access to a range of benefits & perks including:Benefits platform - Reduce the impact of the cost of living with everyday savings with 500+ of Australia's most-loved brands, (from the weekly grocery shop to premium perks like holidays).
