**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The Library Services team provides a range of Library services and programs for the community across the Cumberland City Council Library Service.

The successful applicant will require:

- Degree in Library and Information Services or Computing Science and equivalent experience or Diploma in Library and information Services eligible for Library Technician membership of ALIA
- Demonstrated experience in management of Library management systems
- Proven ability in the diagnosis and resolution of hardware and software problems
- Proven experience in the delivery of training programs
- Knowledge and experience in the installation, management and use of the Internet
- Demonstrated organisational skills and attention to detail
- High level of interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proven commitment to continuous improvement processes including demonstrated flexibility and responsiveness to changing needs and demands
- Project management experience with proven ability to evaluate and implement new technologies
- High level of interpersonal and customer service skills, with a proven ability to engage with the local community
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously whilst managing competing priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrated understanding of current technology issues and trends in the public Library environment.
- Current driver's licence
- Valid Working with Children Check number

**Position information**: This is a permanent, full-time position, working a 70 hour fortnight, with access to Council's 9 day fortnight Rostered Day Off (RDO) arrangement. Working hours are on a rostered shift basis Monday to Saturday 8:00am to 8:00pm.

This role is will be rostered to work at Auburn and Merrylands libraries, however you may be required to work across any branch of the Cumberland City Council Library Service.

**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 10 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $1,464.40 to $1,684.06 per week, plus 10.5% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role
