This is a hands-on, rewarding role where you'll take charge of servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of trucks.
With access to the latest diagnostic technology, ongoing training, and strong team support, you'll be set up for success and continual growth in your career.This full-time role (Monday-Friday, with rostered Saturday work) offers variety, stability, and the chance to work across premium brands including Volvo, Mack, and UD.Your main responsibilitiesCarrying out repairs, servicing, and inspections on engines, gearboxes, brakes, and drivelinesUsing advanced diagnostic software and computer systems to identify and resolve issuesPreparing detailed, clear reports on repair work, supplies, and recommendationsMentoring and guiding apprentice technicians, ensuring safe work practicesYou will need to haveCertificate III in Mechanical Trade (Heavy Vehicle) or equivalentStrong mechanical and diagnostic skills with a focus on safetyExperience in the heavy vehicle industry (preferred but not essential)Knowledge of American, European, or Japanese drivelines (highly regarded)Ability to work both independently and in a team environmentCurrent HC/HR licence (advantageous, not essential)Own toolkit and full working rights in AustraliaAbove award hourly rates - competitive pay for your skills and experienceFree tool allowance - invest in your trade without the extra costExclusive corporate discounts - health and life insurance programsWellbeing support - CMV Care, EAP access, and annual wellness initiativesTeam celebrations - annual dinner-dance, Christmas events, and festive hampersCareer growth - opportunities to advance within a respected national groupJob security - work with industry-leading brands in a growing businessAt CMV Truck & Bus, we believe our people are our greatest asset.
