We provide Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Psychology and Allied Health Assistance to the NDIS, Aged Care and Medico-legal communityWe place great importance on positive workplace culture and strive to create a compassionate, safe and supportive environment in which to foster shared learning and professional development.WHAT'S ON OFFERWeekly one-on-one supervision with a senior speech pathologist (15-35 years of experience)Team building events and monthly socials (drinks & food paid for by Belong)$1500 CPD allowance2 days paid PD leave$1,000 sign-on bonus (for full-time employees).
Salary packaging optionsBeautifully designed state-of-the-art offices in RichmondAccess to Pilates reformersFlexible start and finish times across a 4 or 5-day working week.Full admin support and help with calendar managementPaid external training from industry specialists.Multi-disciplinary team meetings, PDs, and case reviews.Regular shadowing sessions across the MDT.Opportunities for ongoing career growth - leadership, managerial, and post-grad specialisation.Support to pursue special interests, caseloads/demographics.Team-based approach to case management with achievable client load so you don't burn out.Working with a highly experienced team, with a positive team culture.Individualised case loads designed to meet your experience and interests.Flexible work across clinic, shared office, Telehealth, and community locations.WHO WE'RE LOOKING FORAdventurous, curious and kind human beingsProactive and driven to continuously learn and improveDedicated to delivering high-quality, personalised careWHAT YOU NEEDTertiary qualification in Speech PathologyAHPRA registration or equivalentNational Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check &/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain these)POSITION DESCRIPTIONProvision of Speech Pathology Services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS):Conduct NDIS assessments to accurately determine participant needs.Provide therapeutic support to NDIS participants, fostering their communication, independence and well-being.Develop personalised treatment plans that address the specific needs and goals of each participant.Implement evidence-based interventions to improve speech, language, literacy, fluency, voice, and swallowing/eating disorders.Prescribe AAC assistive technology and implementAdjust therapeutic techniques based on participant progress and feedback to optimise outcomesClient Engagement and Goal Achievement:Engage with participants, their families, and other support networks to understand and assist in achieving their individual goals.Collaborate with the MDT to set achievable, meaningful goals, promoting engagement and motivationComprehensive Report WritingCompile NDIS reports, including Communication Assessment Reports, Swallow Assessment Reports, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Reports, Communication Progress Reports.Prepare detailed reports to advocate for participants' needs, facilitating access to essential funding and support services.Ensure reports are comprehensive, align with NDIS requirements and effectively communicate the participant's goals, progress, and support needs.Collaboration and Multidisciplinary Team Interaction:Collaborate effectively with internal and external multidisciplinary team members.Foster positive working relationships to ensure seamless coordination of care for NDIS participantsEngage in team meetings and case conferences to discuss care plans, share insights, and coordinate services.Administrative and Medico Legal Responsibilities:Diligently complete all administrative tasks, including timely and accurate clinical notes.Adhere to medico legal requirements, maintaining compliance with industry standards.Documentation:Maintain meticulous records of treatment plans, progress notes, intervention outcomes, and other relevant documentation as per NDIS standards.Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of all participant information.Educational Material Development and Training:Develop educational materials relevant to speech pathology.Design and deliver training resources from the knowledge you've acquired from continuous professional development.Continuous Professional DevelopmentActively engage in professional development opportunities to stay abreast of the latest research, techniques, and best practices in speech pathology.Participate in internal training, workshops, and seminars to enhance professional skills and knowledge.This position requires a dedicated and skilled speech pathologist committed to delivering outstanding services within the framework of the NDIS.
